DAY 30: Monday 13 October

No sooner had we arrived when we were met with supporters and encouragers and Boneyard. We had been chatting about some of the ongoing work leading up to the Human Peace Wall when a tourist came across the road for a chat. It turned out he is a pastor from South Africa, Pastor Patrick Moffat. We had a good chat for about 15 before he had to leave. He had shared with me that he knew two Elim Missionaries in India, Johnny and Heather Prentice, and was then surprised when I told him I was their pastor!

Shortly after he left Johnny and Heather turned up. If only he had stayed a while longer they would have met. Anyway Johnny and Heather stayed for a couple of hours and kept the chat going. One of the young men who stopped on their bikes on Day 16, Gerrard, came by again for a chat and to tell that he and several of his friends are coming with him from the Falls community to the Human Peace Wall on Saturday. He is also looking forward to coming to New Life when we move into City Life Centre.

Others came by; some to discuss community projects and the ongoing building project. Pastor Tommy McGuicken, a longstanding friend and colleague stopped for a photo shot. Thus ended Day 30 with 10 more to go. So the countdown begins tomorrow. Thanks again for your prayers and your support.
