Cross Vigil
DAY 30: Wednesday 14 October
So much happened today it is hard to document it in
words. I am therefore going to let the pictures do the talking with
a few helpful comments
The Base for the Peace Pole went in today
This is just the base. It weighs about 2 ton!
The Peace Pole will add another 14 feet to this
David & Samson
Cars and more cars! Two elderly ladies stopped. One was
in her 70's the others her 80's. The young one said, "We've driven
up and down and past you many times, but we want to know what you're
doing". Having shared with them I said I also get the chance to
share John 3:16 with people. The young one said, "What is John
3:16?" This touched my heart that a woman in Belfast in her 70's
should ask that question! There's more to be done in this city!
More cars and Tourist Bus
Tracey gets in on the Muffin Act! A lady from the Shankill
who had past several times finally stopped for a chat. She said she
would be at the Human Peace Wall on Saturday with some of her friends.
Leaders discussing the work; Raymond brings Shankillbucks

A blue car pulled up and out stepped a lady who in a very
official manner said "My name is____; I'm from the Lord Mayor's
Office". She went to tell me that the Lord Mayor wants to come
and stand with me for a while some day. I will report on this later.
Heckler is back and gets out of his van

Philim Lundy (right) designed the Peace Pole and was helped
in making it by young men at Springvale Learning (a cross community
training project). They will be present on the day it is unveiled.
