International Missions Team
We cannot always do much, but we can always do something,
and what we can do is always worth doing, and together with others we
can make a real difference.
Some of those we have
helped or we continue to help
AFRICA
As a member of the Elim Churches in the UK and Ireland we are given a specific area to support which is central Africa. So far we have sponsored the following:
A Pastor in Malawi to purchase his own food store as his
personal business. This keeps him employed and enables him to stay where
he is so he can pastor the local church that is unable to pay him a
wage.
We have sponsored the building of a church in Malawi,
which is dedicated to the memory of Pastor Jack's mother, Maggie McKee.
We have also sponsored bicycles for some of the pastors;
and the purchase of goats for ongoing milk supply for families. We have
also been involved in supplying several types of goods that along with
others have filled containers that have been shipped to Africa.
We continue to raise money each month and send it to support
missions in Africa.
INDIA

We have our very own Missionaries from New Life City Church
who have been in India since 2005. They are Johnny & Heather Prentice.
They could have chosen southern India, but no! They decided to go north
to Allahabad! Please pray for Johnny and Heather.
Separate from Johnny and Heather we have also been able
to raise funds to pay for the digging and provision of two wells to
provide clean fresh water for two villages.
ALBANIA
One of our 'crowns' was our response to the needs in Albania
when the Iron Curtain came down and when the USSR began to disintegrate
(not Russia, the USSR!). We were the first in Ireland, if not the UK
to respond. As soon as the news broke, Pastor Jack's wife, Kathleen,
began to weep as she looked on the faces of orphans on the television.
Jack turned to her and said, "don't cry about it, do something
about it". So she did! She organised relief supplies and took two
40 ft containers, filled with food and medical supplies, to Albania.
MONGOLIA
Hear we have a dear personal friend of Pastor Jack's and
a friend to New Life City Church whom Jack first met in Philadelphia
in 1987 when he worked as Assistant Director at Teen Challenge and then
later as manager of the Second Mile Centre in Philly. For several years
now John Koehler has committed his life to the people of Mongolia. We
wish we could do more for John and for those he works to help and reach.
PHILIPPINES
Brian and Mirte Longridge are doing an awesome among some
of the most needy people in the Philippines. Brian is from Belfast and
was pastored for 10 years by Pastor Jack. Again, we wish we could do
more to help Brian and Mirte, but we commit them to your prayers.
OTHER NEEDS
We sent over £2,000 in financial support to the Tsunami
Relief in 2004/05; we sent support to the Katrina
Appeal; helped build an orphanage in Alabama;
had people go to Brazil; China; and have
helped others when we have been able to.
