Revolution Youth
'Revolution' is a call for young people to impact their generation
with the radical power of the gospel. We want our young people to grasp
hold of the same spirit and the same convictions that Cassie Bernall
and Rachel Scott had, demonstrating the fact that there is nothing greater
than living for Christ and radically changing our society, (except of
course dying for Christ).
We want young people to understand that there is so much more to being a Christian than just going to church on Sunday. We want them to understand, that they are very much the Church of today and that God desires to use them today to impact their generation.
The same Holy Spirit that worked through the Apostles wants also to work through the lives of young people. The same Holy Spirit that gave boldness to the Apostles to preach the gospel and heal the sick wants also to move in the same way today in the lives of young people and to give them boldness to speak the truth. God is going to do so much more among young people. He is going to ignite a fire and a passion in their hearts and spirits. We as a church need to get ready and to do what we can to help encourage and raise up this generation, giving God the freedom to move in their lives.
I ask that you pray for the youth of our nation. I ask that you pray that God would raise up this new generation of young people who will take a stand for truth and will not get caught up in the darkness of the world, nor the apathy of the church.
Throughout history and in Bible times, God used young people make His name great. He used a young man called David to be King of Israel. He used a young man called Jeremiah to prophesy to the nation of Israel. He used a young man called Daniel to stand for truth in the face of persecution. He called young men to follow Him and be His disciples. He used a young man to lead the church in Ephesus.
Today, all over the world, God is still using young people and children to touch the lives of thousands of people. I ask that you trust God and let him move in our nation and in the lives of our young people and that they would bring about a revolution that would turn the hearts and lives of their generation back to God.
